Raptors of India - Vulture Count

WWF-India is going to conduct vulture estimation program across India through Citizen Science with the help of Volunteers! This is the first year of the many to come where citizen birders, ornithologists, photographers, field guides are invited to join the vulture count beginning on International Vulture Awareness Day- September 4th, 2021. So pick up your gear, pair of binoculars, cameras, spend some time in nature to help us find vulture presence in your locations and get counting. We will be sharing locations where vulture presence/absence is needed to be verified. Help us being that set of extra eyes in long term monitoring of endangered vulture species in India. The volunteers can count or observe the vultures in her/his nearest location as per the convenience from morning 6 AM to 10 AM, followed by taking GPS location & route survey. Filling of data collection sheet.
