Dragonfly festival 2023: Wetland Biomonitoring Survey Assam

Bio-diversity,Water,Climate Change,Environment Education
Our Dragonfly Festival is a unique Citizen Science campaign to highlight the importance and status of dragonflies and damselflies in our country. As part of Dragonfly Festival, a number of wetland locations from Assam - Deepor beel & Maguri beel have been identified for monitoring the Odonata species over a period of 3 months. WWF-India is looking for passionate volunteers to conduct regular habitat and species surveys. From those who apply, we will select a mixed group of volunteers for photo documentation, observation and identification. Volunteers will be required to upload the data on the India Biodiversity Portal. Only a few selected volunteers will be shortlisted for each site. The applicants from Guwahati for Deepor beel & nearby Maguri beel living closer to the location will be given preference. (need to specify the wetland) An e-certificate will be given to the volunteers on the completion of the project.
