Project Description
Tiger is one of the most charismatic big cats. India has around 60% of the wild Tiger population globally, which puts a big responsibility on India to save the Tiger. Being an umbrella species, they must be protected in any way. This year we propose to conduct the events in the Athirappilly-Vazhachal Tourism Area. The Campaign will be a joint venture of WWF-India Kerala State Office, WWF-India Western Ghats Nilgiris Landscape (WGNL) Program Office, and Vazhachal Forest Division. It includes a three-day Volunteers Workshop (for 25 registered Volunteers, Field Staff, and other participants, including sessions on the Life of the Tiger, Conservation and Management, Challenges, etc.) Teachers Training Workshop, Interactive Tiger Quiz for the Public, Signature Campaign, Sticker and Poster Campaign, Street Play and Tiger Conservation Rally on the third day.
