Project Description
The National Wildlife Week is celebrated from 2-8 October annually in India. WWF-India, Kerala State Office conducts an Orientation Camp during National Wildlife Week 2024 jointly with Shendurney Wildlife Sanctuary. The objective of the Camp is to develop a young cadre of Teacher Trainees who will spread the message of Wildlife Conservation among institutions like schools and colleges. The focus of this Camp is on "Making Known the Lesser Known", mainly, butterflies, dragonflies, moths, amphibians, and reptiles.. Thirty Teacher Trainees from three colleges each from Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram districts will participate. The proposed Camp will be a capacity-building exercise that enables the participants to communicate the message of Wildlife Conservation among the general public, especially, the youth.
