Project Description
WWF-India, Kerala State Office, will conduct a two-day Orientation Camp during National Wildlife Week 2025 jointly with Thiruvananthapuram Wildlife Division at Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary. The objective of the Camp is to develop a young cadre of Teacher Trainees who will spread the message of Wildlife Conservation among institutions like schools and colleges. The focus of this Camp is on "Making Known the Lesser Known", mainly butterflies, dragonflies, moths, amphibians, and reptiles. Thirty Teacher Trainees from six colleges, from Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram districts, will participate. The proposed Camp will be a capacity-building exercise that enables the participants to communicate the message of Wildlife Conservation among the general public, especially the youth.
