Project Description
Observation of Global Tiger Day aims to inspire young minds to appreciate the ecological significance of the Royal Bengal Tiger and the unique Sundarbans ecosystem, while promoting awareness on wildlife conservation and the importance of protecting tiger habitat, especially the unique mangrove system. Through creative expression and knowledge-based competitions, the event seeks to nurture environmental stewardship among students. WWF-India, WBSO in collaboration with the Sundarban Tiger Reserve, Forest Department, Government of West Bengal, is organizing a Sit & Draw, Extempore and Quiz Competition for school students.
